A few weeks ago I teamed up with Physical Therapist, Dan Schaal to host a workshop at Colorado Athletic Club Tabor Center. We had a great turnout for two workshops, which leads me to think that we really need more education on the pelvic floor and its functions and dysfunctions.
Did you know that 53% of women between the ages of 20-80 have incontinence? 47% of women between the ages of 20-49 have incontinence! Incontinence is not part of aging, we deserve to have happy, healthy pelvis’ and educating yourself is first.
This 3 part series only touches on a huge topic. It focuses on
- Breathing
- Hypotonic Pelvis
- Hypertonic Pelvis
Hopefully this will get you started on a journey to learn how to identify any pelvic floor issues and how to start helping it with exercise and breathing.
