Congratulations to my New Pilates Teachers!

For the last 13 months I have been traveling to Southern California to train a group of amazing individuals! We started this journey back in March of 2016.  I had 5 students, Kara, Kay, Joe, Rami and Acia.   We started off with the Mat Training and had a wonderful learning experience!  I learned so much, both about myself as a teacher and about the Mat exercises as well.  I discovered new depths to the exercises as I presented them to my students, new ways of thinking about the mat and how to connect the exercises together.

Next we moved onto the Reformer Module.  This is probably the toughest module because there is so much to learn about the equipment and the exercises.  On top of that they had to learn the Advanced Reformer Workout to perform for their test.  It was scary at times, it was funny at times and they came through it with flying colors!  We added 3 new people to the group as well, Cynthia, Nicole and Scotty.  We became much more familiar with each other and personalities started coming out!

Our last module was Chair, Cadillac and Barrel.  This last module brought us back down to 5 students, Kay, Kara, Acia, Cynthia and Rami.   All 5 of them have been with me through the whole training.  They are going to be remarkable teachers!  I’ve seen them accomplish things in their own bodies that they never would have imagined they could do!  I’ve seen their bodies transform into stronger versions of themselves than when they entered into the program.

I’m going to miss going down to Manhattan Beach every month and I’m going to miss seeing these guys even more!  They’ve inspired me and impressed me and I’m so damn proud of them!

Thank you Kay, Kara, Acia, Cynthia, Rami, Nicole, Joe and Scotty for your hard work and great attitudes through this whole amazing process!

Thank you to my partner in crime…Cyndi Moriatis who helped make the teaching smoother and easier with her assistance and mentorship in this program.
