The Pilates Teaser is one of my favorite exercises because it is challenging.  Even the modified versions of this exercise are complex and challenging.  To do it correctly is empowering, especially the version on the reformer which I will post at a later date.  Today’s version is on the mat.  This video will show you how to isolate the torso from the legs and the legs from the torso.  When performing this exercise you want to keep the torso stable and still while you move the legs.  Same goes for the reverse, keep the legs stable and in the same place while you move your torso.

Using the wall first will help you practice this technique so that when you do it without the wall, you will not use momentum and will be set up for a successful Teaser.
