Fitbits

1Here are a few facts I’ve gleaned in my fitness career

1.  Walking on an incline on the treadmill will reduce stress to your joints more so than walking on a flat surface. Even as little as a 1% incline.

2.  Running at a faster pace is actually easier on your joints than running at a slower pace.  Less pounding on the knees if you are fleet of foot.

3.  Counting down  your reps from 10 to 1 mentally makes the exercise easier rather than counting up from 1 to 10.  It keeps you mentally tough to stick with it until the last….one!

4.  For the majority of us, working out in front of a mirror can give us more confidence.  It helps you with your form and lets you see the results of all your hard work, which is motivating!  It’s not narcissistic!

5.  Doing Pilates strengthens your pelvic floor muscle (your zipper/kegel) which in turn can translate to better sex and a stronger orgasm!  Ummmm Pilates anyone?
