TAKE 5

To turn your smartphone settings to a more energy saving mode so that it won’t suck your battery dry.

1.  Turn off the auto brightness and dim the display settings.  The screen alone sucks up a ton of energy!

2.  Make the screen go black quicker by adjusting the “screen timeout” or “auto-lock” options on your smartphones.

3.  Once your phone is charged to 100% unplug it.  A battery can lose up to 10% effectiveness by being overcharged.

4.  Shut off Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and location services if you are not using them.

5.  Disable the feature that lets apps update automatically.

6.  Still running through your battery?  Invest in a powered case or portable battery.
