What to do when it’s a rainy, cold Sunday and your Big Sis is in town? Bake of course! We scoured all my cookbooks and our Pinterest Boards and came up with these two reciped as the winners! Apple Cider Donut Cake and Brown Butter Pumpkin Pecan Chocolate Chip Cookies!
Heidi made the cookies and I baked the cake. Heidi started off the baking by pulling out a bottle of Rombauer Chardonay-nay and getting busy. I put on the tunes and off we went!
We had a near disaster when I was focusing so much on making sure I was using Baking Powder instead of Baking Soda that I used a tablespoon instead of a teaspoon to measure…..uh-oh! Luckily I realized it before I got much further. Do over!
It all ended well and we had beautiful desserts come out of the oven! Heidi was here for work so she took her cookies to share with coworkers on Monday and I…..well I didn’t share! 🙂 I wanted my cake and to eat it too!
