Iced Coffee Protein Shake – The Perfect Monday Morning Pick Me Up!

This recipe combines the best of both things….a healthy smoothie and coffee!  This is the perfect Monday Morning Pick Me Up!

At only 115 calories per serving, it is high protein and non-dairy.  I used Starbucks Cold Brew for the coffee, rather than make my own.  For the protein powder you can use whey protein, soy protein, hemp protein….the list is endless these days.  I prefer whey protein as I don’t think it affects the flavor of the smoothie too much.  Some protein powders can taste really chalky or make the shake taste funny, but it’s really up to your tastebuds.

I have not tried this yet, but you could probably brew up a cup of coffee and add extra ice to get the same effect as the cold brew coffee.
