Summer Detox – Get Rid of the Bloat

Summer is here, and that means it’s time to eat clean with all the fresh fruits and veggies available to us.  Have a summer wedding to go to or need to put on your swimsuit for vacation?  This Detox will help get rid of bloat and flush out your system of toxins.  Your tummy will look flatter and you will feel better.  This is the Jillian Michaels Detox Tea.  It’s an easy, gentle detox that doesn’t break the bank.  Who needs to buy a detox cleanse for $100+ when you can do it at home with three simple ingredients.

Your grocery list:

1.  Cranberry Juice

2.  Lime Juice

3.  Dandelion Root Tea

Recipe:

  • 64 oz of Purified Drinking Water

  •  2 Tablespoons of Lemon Juice (fresh or from a bottle)

  •  1 Tablespoon Sugar Free or Pure Cranberry Juice*

  •  1 Dandelion Root Tea Bag** (steep in the water for 15 minutes)

I left my tea bag in the jug overnight and then removed it the next morning before drinking.

*Cranberry juice will never be completely sugar free so a No Sugar Added or Pure Cranberry Juice are your best options.  I used Pure from Whole Foods.

**I found my tea bags at Target and Amazon

Drink 64oz of Tea each day for 7 days!  You can eat your normal diet and go about your regular, daily activities, that is why I liked this detox, it requires very little planning.

I did not lose weight doing this detox, but I started it while I was PMS-ing and I did not gain my usual 2-5lbs.  I call that successful!  Let me know how it goes!
