Finding Length

In this video you will learn how to find more length in your body.  Find yourself standing taller and feeling that you can breath easier with more length.  Also learn how to correctly do an abdominal curl without getting your neck and shoulders involved.

  • Stand up tall with your feet in Pilates V

  • Root down through your feet, pressing your feet firmly into the floor

  • Squeeze your heels

  • Squeeze your inner thighs together

  • Pull in your low abdominals – your zipper

  • Imagine balancing a book on your head to create a long neck

  • Continue squeezing your heels and inner thighs as you lift your heels off the floor.  Only rise up as much as you can that your heels don’t separate.  Hold yourself balanced on your tip toes for 2-3 breaths.  Lower the heels and repeat 3 times.
