40 Days to Spark Some Sparkle! Week 3 – Days 15-21

Week 2 – Done!  Nice job!

  • So, I didn’t win the lottery.
  • I bought the Betsey Johnson Umbrella because I lost my other one (good thing I researched it before hand!)
  • I started taking Turmeric and I swear it’s working already!

What’s on tap for Week 3?

  • Fashion – Athleta is having a sale!  Sale ends tomorrow so head on over and see what steals and deals you can find!
  • Fitness – The Bikini Body is Made in the Winter – workout video to get you in tip top shape for spring break or summer!  Video to follow later this week!  Stay tuned!
  • Food – Recipe Zucchini w. Shrimp.  Recipe to follow later this week!  It’s a yummy one!
  • Inspiration – Sign up for a class….cooking, dance, art, travel, language.  Checkout Meetup.com.  It’s a great website for meeting like minded people to do things with.  Want to practice your Spanish?  Learn how to Salsa?  Want to go skiing?  Meetup is the place to find it.  I used it when we first moved to SF to find out where to take my bulldogs.  I also tried it to practice my Spanish.
  • Mind/Body – Breath work – video to follow later this week.  Try this 2-3 minute video on different types of breathing.  You will hopefully find yourself calmer and more centered after doing this short exercise.
  • Achieve your full potential.  Conquer your fear – Ace your race – Punch out the perfect pull up or push up.  The first step is to identify your target goal.  What would you like to accomplish this year?  Take a few minutes to think about this during the week.
  • Side Plank Test – Can you hold both sides evenly for the same amount of time?  Can you comfortably hold a plank for 30-45 seconds on both sides?  Try it!  If the two sides are really different, then do an extra plank on the weaker side to help strengthen the muscles on this side.
