Funny story…So my 11 year old niece just got her first phone. An iPhone 5 no less! Anyway, we decided to keep in touch via text so I’ve been sending her cute little pictures and messages. This photo of Mr. Snuffleufagus is what I sent her today..
She replied “I don’t get that one” 🙂
Heavy sigh! It wasn’t worth explaining! But am I too old or is she too young? On the one hand how could she NOT know the song “Party Rock” by LMFAO – it was the song of the summer 2 years ago! Second, does she NOT know who Snuffleufagus is? Is she not familiar with Sesame Street! Gasp!
Either way my ego was a tiny bit deflated. Trying to be the cool, hip auntie sometimes falls a bit short.
