ake 5 is my new addition to What the Fitness! In TAKE 5 you can expect to get ideas or reminders to do the things that we all forget – purposefully or not! Please share other ideas you may have for this or future articles of TAKE 5!
TAKE 5
When you open the refrigerator door to grab that carrot stick, TAKE 5 and check the expiration dates on all the stuff in the fridge………you are working hard to keep healthy, do you really want to eat “bad” stuff? I at least clean the fridge out every Wednesday before trash day, but I’m not so good with expiration dates. I mainly throw out stuff like fruit and cheese that are starting to spoil or that half empty bottle of water. I use the water to water my plants then toss the container into recycle. Once a month I will TAKE 5 to check the expiration dates on all my many bottles of salad dressing.
TAKE 5
When you are stripping down after your workout, TAKE 5 and inspect your workout clothes…….especially the back of your pants, the side seams, the underarms of your tops……..is there a seam busting? Would you be embarrassed if a friend told you about that, or would you be more embarrassed if they didn’t…..
TAKE 5
When you are unloading the dishwasher and see that the bottom has gunk and junk in the drain or the washer itself looks like it needs a cleaning. TAKE 5 and wash your dishwasher! You can remove hard water deposits/scale by running one cycle of your dishwasher (empty) with distilled white vinegar. Add 2 cups of vinegar to the bottom and turn the machine on to an energy saving or low wash. Stop the machine mid-wash, so the vinegar can set on the bottom and work.
