Cheers to these Mocktails!

1Tired of the Bubbly after the Holidays?  Ready to cleanse your body and liver of toxins but want a tasty alternative?  Try these two Mocktails!

The first one I was inspired to try after my trip to Mexico….it’s refreshing!  Don’t let the green color deter you!  If you want to Spike It – try a shot of Tequila or Mescal!

It’s Easy Being Green

1 oz Kale Juice

3/4 oz Ginger Juice

1/2 oz Lemon Juice

1/3 oz Agave Syrup whisked with 1/3 oz of Hot Water

Directions:

Combine all the above ingredients into a cocktail shaker. Shake and pour over a glass filled with ice cubes.  Top off with club soda (I used sparkling water).  Garnish with a lemon slice dipped in cayenne pepper (I skipped the cayenne pepper part)

The Doctor Will See You Now

2 oz Beet Juice

1 oz Carrot Juice

1/2 oz Ginger Syrup

1 oz Lemon Juice

Directions:

Combine ingredients into a cocktail shaker.  Shake and then strain into a highball glass over ice.  Top with a splash of tonic water and garnish with a cucumber slice.

Spike It – Trade the Ginger Syrup for Ginger Liqueur and add 1 1/2 oz of Gin.
